PRIVACY POLICY

How I handle your personal data

Who is responsible
This website is operated by Anette Leins, Vogesenstraße 57, 4056 Basel, Switzerland. Contact: info@leinsnet.com. This policy explains how I handle personal data in line with the GDPR and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Full company details are in the Imprint.

Hosting & server log files
This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. I have a data processing agreement in place with Strato to ensure they only process data on my instructions and in compliance with the GDPR and FADP.

Whenever you visit this site, Strato's servers automatically record: your IP address (anonymized after 7 days), date and time of the request, the page requested and its status code, the amount of data transferred, the referring page, and your browser and operating system. This happens for technical operation and security – for example, to detect and defend against attacks – and is based on my legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Because Strato's servers are located in Germany, this data doesn't leave the EU/EEA or Switzerland.

Contact form
If you contact me through the form on this site, I process the details you provide – first name, last name, email address, subject, and message – to answer your inquiry and any follow-up questions. A copy of your message is sent automatically to the email address you gave.

This is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your inquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual steps, and otherwise on my legitimate interest in handling requests addressed to me (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). I keep this data until you ask me to delete it, you withdraw consent to store it, or its purpose no longer applies – for example, once your inquiry is resolved. Statutory retention obligations, where they apply, are unaffected.

Cookies
This website does not set or use any cookies.

Your rights
You can ask me for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, request that I restrict or object to its processing, and ask to receive the data you gave me in a portable format. To exercise any of these, contact me at info@leinsnet.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, if you are in the EU, your local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy
I may update this policy if the website changes – for example, if I add cookies or analytics in future. The version published here always applies.
